PART VII

In Part I of this text, we noted that the design professional may be called upon to provide assistance not only in the preparation and interpretation of contracts, but may also be called upon when the parties to a contract have a dispute.

This Part VII discusses the role of the Engineer and Architect once the litigation process has begun. In addition, the design professional may be called upon to assist the courts resolve questions of whether parties – including other design professionals – have met minimal standards of their peers, the industry and society.
